Have fun!!
HERE ARE MY EXAMPLES - for what they're worth :)
At first I was planning to write new ones for this year, but the day is getting away from me and I need to post this. Besides, these (from a few years ago) are not half-bad. I’m anxious to see what you come up with though!! Cheers!!
The first one is silly:
What if I danced in the rain?
I might get a little bit wet.

What if I danced in the rain?
I might get a little bit wet.
What
if I sang at the top of my lungs?
I could land a singing contract, I bet.
What if I went back inside and sat down?
I would never know what I might do.
I wonder, would you be so bold, if it were you?

This one is more serious:
What if I listened very carefully to
the spirit?
I might be surprised at what I hear.
I might be surprised at what I hear.
What if the Lord has plans I'm not
ready for?
I could try to pretend I didn't hear Him.
I could try to pretend I didn't hear Him.
What if I listened and obeyed?
I would be more use to His children.
I would be more use to His children.
Do you think I'm that strong?

YOUR TURN!!
5 comments:
What if I never write another novel?
I might have to stick with a poem each day.
What if my poetry well dries up?
I could always write a song or a play.
What if I got arthritis in both hands?
I would peck away all day in pain.
Wouldn't any self-respecting writer do the same?
This is fun!
What if my character won't behave?
I would have to punish her.
What if my my plot arc is too short?
I could make a long detour.
What if I can not find an end?
I would have a series on my hands.
Isn't that one way to get more fans?
What if I could play an instrument?
I might accompany myself
What if I was a better singer?
I could make a difference in song.
What if I could write a song?
I would write a song to help someone.
Would you listen to my song?
This IS a fun little poetry form to use. I enjoyed all of your poems. Thanks for participating. I know there are some others that post them elsewhere as well. Just glad to help people give poetry a try. Cheers!!
These are so fun to read. I'm not in the mood to participate at this moment, but I just wanted to say I'm here and reading and I love the month of April.
hmmm...
What if I changed my mind?
I would have to write a poem for Stephanie.
What if no one read my words?
I could keep them to myself.
What if I didn't care?
I would write for the sake of writing.
Isn't that called keeping a journal?
