Day 20 Generated Poems ~ Just for fun!! “30 Poems in 30 Days” #NationalPoetryMonth

Day 20 Generated Poems ~ “30 Poems in 30 Days” #NationalPoetryMonth ~ Just for fun!!

OK, let’s just have some fun today – did you know there are all kinds of interactive poem generators out there? Well, there are – some silly, some helpful, all surprising. So, I entered some random parts of speech, etc. as outlined below and then I clicked on “generate my poem” and voila’ ~ I got that CRAZY poem below ~ but you can try any number of poetry generators – you can find the links to several of them below and see what comes up – this is a fun one to do with kids. Enjoy and if you come up with one you like – share away!! Cheers!!

https://www.poem-generator.org.uk/ ~ 9 poetry forms available
http://oakdome.com/k5/lesson-plans/word/i-am-poem.php ~ 11 poetry form generators can be found in the left-hand column (if you don’t see them, then click on the bar that says “poem generators”).

I used the "quick poem" generator from the second link on the list. The below poem is the result. OH, MY HECK! Silly. You might need to tweak it a bit in order to make sense. Whatever works for ya'

Why not try several different poem generators from the list above?

Here is my poem:

(I was thinking of my 2-year-old grandson when I filled in the blanks. The photo is one I took one day after he was playing at our house and I saw he left that dinosaur with his nose in the bookshelf. Thought it was so cute).

"The Plastic Toy Dinasour"

Whose dinosaur is that? I think I know.
Its owner is quite happy though.
Full of joy like a vivid rainbow,
I watch him laugh. I cry hello.

He gives his dinosaur a shake,
And laughs until his belly aches.
The only other sound's the break,
Of distant waves and birds awake.

The dinosaur's a plastic toy, and neat,
But he has promises to keep,
After cake and lots of sleep.
Sweet dreams come to him cheap.

He rises from his gentle bed,
With thoughts of kittens in his head,
He eats his jam with lots of bread.
Ready for the day ahead.

With thanks to the poet, Robert Frost, for the underlying structure.

Day 20-Poem Generator-The Unicorn and the Centaur

See the hopping of the unicorn,
I think he's angry at the thorne.

He finds it hard to see the buckle,
Overshadowed by the purple french honeysuckle.

Who is that waiting near the shoe?
I think she'd like to eat the crew.

She is but a natural centaur,
Admired as she sits upon a your.

Her tall car is just a toe,
It needs no gas, it runs on portico.

She's not alone she brings a foot,
a pet mule, and lots of alpine coltsfoot.

The mule likes to chase a geranium,
Especially one that's in the titanium.

The unicorn shudders at the tiny sun
He want to leave but she wants the cross bun.

Day 20-Poem Generator-The Unicorn and the Centaur(Revised)

See the hopping of the unicorn,
I think he's angry at the thorne.

He finds it hard to see the buckle,
Overshadowed by the purple french honeysuckle.

Who is that waiting near the beach?
I think she'd like to eat a peach.

She is but a natural centaur,
Admired as she sits upon a magic Orb

Her tall staff is just for show,
She made it out of last night’s rainbow.

She's not alone she brings a lute,
a pet mule, and lots of ripe Kiwi fruit.

The mule likes to chase a geranium,
Especially one that's in the terrarium.

The unicorn shudders at the waning sun
He wants to leave but she wants the cross bun.

I used this poem generator. https://oakdome.com/k5/lesson-plans/word/i-have-a-dream-poem-generator.php

I Have a Dream

That I can help the world.
That my family is safe and well.
That my friends live long and prosper.

Oh, I Have a Dream...
That all children find happiness and joy all of their lives.
That grownups remember what it was like to have childlike awe.
That people will start treating everyone with respect.

Oh, I Have a Dream...
That people will find peace.
That people will learn kindness.
That there will be enough for all.

Oh, I Have a Dream...
